Description

I am a DCU graduate with a bachelor’s degree in General Business Studies where in my final year I specialised in finance. Currently have one years’ experience working in the Financial Services sector.

Keen sports person, in particular GAA (Camogie and Ladies Football) and have overall general fitness.

Experience

IFDS Transfer Agent, Registrations Department (from July 2022 – Present)

I am currently part of the Registration Team in IFDS that manages and facilitates account opening and updates for a Luxembourg based fund. During my time here I have taken on many responsibilities outside of my day-to-day tasks. I have become the main point of contact for our Dealing team for any queries in relation to accounts and payments. I have also been nominated for ‘’PACE&L Award’’ which recognises people who demonstrate Professionalism, accountability, client focus, show excellence and leadership in their area.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review Documents from Investors for account openings, closings, and any updates required.

  • Comply with compliance and company procedures.

  • Review Daily log of Suppressed payments to conclude why payment can’t be made.

  • Review high risk accounts in a timely manner to make sure trades are placed and subscriptions can be purchased in order to make desired NAV for investors.

  • Ensure requests and updates required by commission and trailer fee teams are made in a timely manner.

 

Gym Plus Coffee Sales Assistant(from April 2022 – July 2022)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers as they enter the store.
  • Answering queries about products and other questions they may have.
  • Processing transactions.
  • Managing delivery of stock and upkeep of the shop front.
  • Managing service levels to ensure adequate cover on the shopfloor

 

 

Smiggle Sales Assistant / Person in C (from October 2021 – April 2022)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers as they enter the store.
  • Answering queries about products and other questions they may have.
  • Processing transactions.
  • Managing delivery of stock and upkeep of the shop front.
  • Designated Person in Charge
  • Managing service levels to ensure adequate cover on the shopfloor
  • Opening and closing tills at start and end of day. Cashing up till as ensuring balances match

 

Fingallians GAA Club Barista (from June 2021 – October 2021)

I worked as a Barista in my Local GAA club during the summer break from college. Providing excellent customer service to our customers and ensuring we offered a welcoming and friendly environment. Primarily involved preparing and serving food and beverages for our customers but I was also responsible for processing cash and card transactions through our tills and ensuring all tills where balanced at the end of our shifts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages for our customers.

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of our work area & also the dining area.

  • Stock taking & handling of deliveries.

  • Processing cash and debit card transactions to maintain a balanced till.

St. Vincent’s Private Hospital Financial Intern (from September 2020 – August 2021)

During my final year in Dublin City University, I worked as a Financial Intern in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. Working with different teams throughout my time to gain more knowledge and experience in financial operation of the hospital day to day.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Process and manage daily cash payments and allocate to each patient on PAS System.
  • Run daily reports and adjust for any discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Process payments due to suppliers and collect daily sales reports for multiple departments within the hospital.
  • Draw up bills for patients to show cost for stays, treatments etc.
  • Liaise with patients’ insurance companies for billing.
  • Assisting the Head of Finances with running end of month reports and balancing of cash sheets.

Argos Sales Assistant (from July 2018 – August 2020)

During my time as a sales assistant with Argos I was responsible for greeting customers, answering any queries they might have about products and processing transactions. Other responsibilities included ensuring the store was organised and clean for our customers and also dealing with any issues as they arose. Ultimately my goal was to provide an excellent customer experience while maintaining a positive attitude even during difficult situations. This was one of my first roles and I learned a lot from my experience dealing with customers from all walks of life day to day and this has helped me develop both personally and professionally.
